Skull Charm
Skull Charm by peppergal featuring Pamela Love
Skulls might have once been a scary symbol of death, but they’ve certainly become a powerful fashion symbol. I recently became enamored with them after seeing a beautiful painting in a friend’s home. It showed a softer side to the human skull. That’s also what you can find in the fashion world. Instead of simply associating skulls with punk fashion, there are now many chic pieces and accessories.
Of course, designer Alexander McQueen made the skull hugely popular in the industry. Even after his untimely death, his trendy image is still alive and well. I’ve picked out some of my favorite eye-catching finds, including a gorgeous pink jacket by Philipp Plein and the double skull ring that you can find on maxandchloe.com. It’s feminine and edgy.
Sleeveless tank top / Philipp Plein clothing, $2,505 / Alexander McQueen black wedge espadrille / Alexander McQueen coin pouch / Alexander McQueen lace bracelet / LeiVanKash butterfly earrings / Michael Spirito ring / Alexander McQueen double wrap leather bracelet / Pamela Love necklace, $365 / Alexander McQueen skull scarve, $405
